Meet the Photographer

South Mountain Photos is a small photography studio nestled at the base of South Mountain in North River, New York. After a life changing accident in April of 2001, a year of healing, and at the urging of photographer friends that God put in my path, I bought a digital camera and began taking photographs as “therapy”.

Dragging camera equipment around in the beginning was hard work!

I found I had a God-given talent for visual composition. I’m told I see things “differently”. What started out as therapy has turned into a passion, one I enjoy sharing with everyone I meet.

Attention to detail is important to me, and I choose to put out the best quality product I can. I use an Epson 1400 printer and Epson archival inks and paper. These are warranted by the manufacturer to be colorfast for 70 years when the photo is behind glass or in a plastic sleeve and protected from direct sunlight and severe humidity.

Although I’ll never regain the abilities I enjoyed before my fall, I am now able to pursue a challenging and rewarding career I would never have dreamed possible.
